The Metro Red Line

The Metro Red Line is a great alternative for getting around Los Angeles offering 14 stops starting from the North Hollywood station and ending at Union Station. It's a great way to get to Universal City Walk, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Groman's Chinese Theatre, Pantages Theatre, Los Angeles Valley College, Staples Center, the Jewelry Center, Disney Music Hall and Olvera Street, just to name a few.

Once you arrive at Union Station you can transfer to Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Pasadena, LAX and during the baseball season there are free shuttles to Dodger Stadium.

Amtrak leaves from Union Station and travels to cities all over the United States. Why drive or fly? Go Metro and connect to Amtrak!

The Red Line is one of six lines forming the Metro Rail rapid transit system that opened in stages between 1993 and 2000. Together with the Purple Line, these two heavy rail lines combine to form L.A. Metro Rail's busiest line. As of October 2013, the combined Red and Purple lines averaged 169,478 boarding’s per weekday.

Enjoy the unique designs at each station on the Red Line through photography.

All aboard!
